How to use the visual Pomodoro timer
Choose a single task
Write down what you plan to work on during this session and put unrelated tabs or materials aside.
Start 25 minutes of focus
Tap 25 min focus. If an interruption needs your attention, pause and resume; otherwise let the work window finish.
Start a separate five-minute break
Press Done after the focus countdown, then tap 5 min break. Stand up or step away if that suits you, and decide when to begin the next session.
Work that fits a Pomodoro session
Drafting without editing
Spend one focus window drafting a section, then review it in a later window rather than switching repeatedly between writing and polishing.
A revision topic
Use twenty-five minutes for one topic and a separate break before checking your recall or moving to the next topic.
A longer work window
If twenty-five minutes interrupts useful work, try fifty minutes and enter a separate break duration afterward.
Manual phases, clear choices
- Dedicated focus and break buttons make the common 25/5 pattern visible before starting.
- Every phase uses the same pause, stop, liquid animation and alarm controls.
- Loop mode repeats one duration; it is not an automatic Pomodoro schedule. Leave it off when switching between work and breaks.
This tool uses the same liquid countdown as our free visual countdown timer. Choose that page for your saved general-purpose presets.
Frequently asked questions
Does the timer automatically switch to a five-minute break?
No. Each phase starts with your action. Finish the focus countdown, press Done, and select 5 min break.
Can I change the 25-minute duration?
Yes. Select another preset or enter custom minutes and seconds. You can adapt both work and break durations to your task.
Is loop mode the same as a Pomodoro cycle?
No. Loop mode repeats the same duration indefinitely. It does not alternate focus and break lengths or schedule a longer break.
Can I use a silent focus session?
Yes. Select No Alarm in Settings. Keep the countdown visible so you can see when it has finished.
Does the page record my completed Pomodoro sessions?
No personal session history is stored. The optional loop counter counts repetitions of one running loop and resets when you start another timer.
